With the exploration of oil field around Ankleshwar in 1963, and with establishment of Asia’s biggest industrial hub in Ankleshwar, in 1975, there was influx of technocrats, executives, senior officer, entrepreneurs’ & supporting persons in all fields. These people were from all states of India and even NRI.
To provide basic infrastructure like education & health services was highly needed. Prominent persons of Ankleshwar gathered & form “Ankleshwar Educational Trust” in 1980, with a aim to provide excellent and ideal education.
In 1980 trust started Swami Vivekanand English Medium School from Nursery to Std. V with 379 students at E.N. Jinwala School building, adding one standard every year. By 1985, The trust builded own school building and shifted to new premises. Today we have 2350 students from Nursery to Std. XII (Science stream).
Considering the demand of parents of Ankleshwar & surrounding villages, in 1990 another school S.V.E.M (Gujarati ) school started to impart education in regional language. Today we have 2200 students from nursery to class XII.
On request from parents who are on transferable services, the trust started “Swami Vivekanand Academy” in 2008 as per CBSE system based on NCERT curriculum.
This is the only school in Ankleshwar town offering a national curriculum. The school has tied up with Ankleshwar Gymkhana-a sports complex to provide coaching to the students in swimming, skating, Tennis, Badminton and other sports.
The trust has planned to construct another building of about 30000 sq. ft. for complete CBSE School from Nursery to class XII.
In 2008, the trust purchased 4.5 acres of land and constructed modern buildings for the students of Secondary & Higher Secondary Section.
The trust plan to construct separate school building of 30,000 sq.ft. For CBSE students and aims to develop CBSE school from Nursery to Std. XII –Science & Commerce stream. Building its started as S V Academy from 2014
